Toowoomba Studio Art Trail
I was beyond excited and honoured to be selected as the 2025 Feature Artist at the annual Downlands Art Show, here in Toowoomba, in September.
I first entered the Downlands Art Show in 2021 and was thrilled to have one pastel painting accepted into the show. The following year I entered again and had two paintings accepted; in 2024 I had three accepted. Then, the curator, Evan Hollis, invited me to be Feature Artist 2025. Although the thought terrified me at first, I said 'yes' and began painting in earnest late in 2024.
It's taken me the best part of a year to plan, produce, frame and prepare 27 new pastel paintings and it was a wonderful feeling to see them all on show in September!
15 paintings were sold during the show. The rest have come home with me and are available on my Gallery page.
Once again my studio was open to the public every weekend during September here in Toowoomba.
I welcomed around 350 people into my studio this year. Thank you for visiting me to view my art, find out more about my process and learn about soft pastels.
